Versatile window system launches

Share

Olsen Doors & Windows are pleased to announce the launch of their most versatile window system to date, the Thermo 80. An adaptable inward opening, tilt & turn solution the Thermo 80 can be specified for most projects with its various functions, options and accessories.

Manufactured with laminated, engineered timber profiles of either Pine or Oak, sourced from responsibly managed forests and FSC certified, the system can be specified as all timber or with the optional extra of external aluminium cladding for a low maintenance, highly durable solution, called the Thermo 80 Alu.
As standard the Thermo 80 system is factory fitted with 24mm double glazed units with an Argon gas filling giving an overall window U-value of 1.2W/m2K. This can be upgraded to a 40mm triple glazed unit, with Argon gas filling, to give an incredibly low U-value of 0.9W/m2K at an affordable price. Depending upon the glazing unit specified the system has acoustic insulation values of between 32-40dB.

Olsen2Timber is finished to a choice of either a paint from the RAL Classic range (over 200 colours to choose from) or from a selection of stains to enable the client to appreciate the natural timber. On the Thermo 80 Alu solution, the external aluminium cladding is polyester powder coated (PPC) to a choice of paint colours from the RAL Classic range. With aluminium cladding it is standard to have a dual finish on the windows meaning one colour can be chosen for the outside and a different colour inside giving flexibility in design. This dual colour is also available on the all timber version as an optional extra.

As an inward opening solution the Thermo 80 system offers various adaptations of the traditional tilt & turn system including a tilt only function ideal for commercial projects for high security and safety. Inward and outward opening balcony doors with a lowered threshold can also be made in the Thermo 80 system and for any larger openings the complimenting Thermo HS system of lift & slide doors can be used which are able to span large areas with glass in one frame.
