VELUX’s New Generation Roof Windows Bring More Light to Life

Leading roof window specialist VELUX is launching a new generation of products in February 2014 that take design, insulation, energy efficiency and daylight to exciting new levels.

The New Generation of VELUX Roof Windows has brought subtle but significant changes into many aspects of the design – making the best even better. With the assurance of quality that VELUX is renowned for, consumers can have complete confidence that the new range will fit seamlessly into their home. The new products will offer more daylight than ever before, as well as improved features to help create a happy, healthy home.

After years of research, planning and testing, the new design is lighter, with an enhanced appearance. The New Generation roof windows are designed to improve the quality of homes, providing even more light, sound insulation and ventilation, while also helping to reduce energy consumption, thanks to advanced ThermoTechnology.

The latest design means increased access to natural daylight helping to create a brighter space and wider outlook due to the slimmer sashes and framing, and increased glazing area. The sleeker, more contemporary design will also fit seamlessly into the interior and exterior of any home and the installation has been made even easier for the installer with clear, streamlined fitting options.

By allowing the intake of more light into a room, the new range will not only reduce the need for electrical lighting and cut Co2 emissions thanks to ThermoTechnology. The improved installation and ventilation also helps to balance the energy in the room and reduce bills in the long term.

The VELUX INTEGRA control pad, which comes with all New Generation products, has been re-designed using cutting edge technology. The user-friendly operation system allows you to control the indoor climate with the touch of a button with settings to open and close the windows and draw the blinds – it can even be programmed to operate when you’re on holiday.

The full range of VELUX New Generation products will be launched to consumers in the UK in February 2014, replacing the current range of products, and will be available through a range of installers and suppliers.
