Traditional Values Help Laminates Expert Beat Economic Gloom

The economic forecast may not be getting any brighter, but one Lincolnshire firm is bucking the trend of negative growth in the UK.

Family business, ELS Panels, which is an expert in the supply of bonded decorative laminate panels, has seen a surge in new orders and an increase in sales of more than 25% over the last six months. The company has recently taken on additional staff to cope with demand and is seeking new premises which would see the company double in size to allow for increased production.

They attribute this success to some simple, but key, ingredients; “We supply a very high quality product and we keep our promises.” says ELS Panel’s UK sales and marketing manager, Rowland Wood. “We also manufacture in-house and offer a full range of services including importing, bonding, fabricating and edging, which allows us to offer outstanding value and efficiency for our customers.”

ELS Panels, which was established almost 50 years ago, is the sole UK importer for the Italian Lamicolor range of laminates for use in the interior surfacing of offices, washrooms, receptions, motorhomes, caravans and boats.

The company controls the product journey from pre-production through to completion, with tight quality control at every stage. They are specialists in ceiba faced poplar plywood which offers a 30% weight saving when used as a substrate, over standard plywood. The company will also bond to MDF, chipboard and blockboard.
