Solarlux was the proud sponsor of the UK & International Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2014

Now in its sixth year, the awards ceremony took place on September 25 at the Old Truman Brewery in London, where several cutting edge design firms transformed the building into a spectacular event space for the hospitality design awards function.

Facing international flair and fierce competition, Les Haras Brasserie in Strasbourg – designed by Jouin Manku – and FEI, a bar based within W Hotel in Guanzhou – designed by A.N.D. – were the overall winners of the 2014 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.

Winners were announced for another 29 categories, which receiving entries from the world’s top architects, hospitality operators and designers, including Topolski, a new gallery and bar set in a railway arch on the Southbank, London, designed by B3 Designers, whose award was presented by Martijn Venema, Managing Sales Director at Solarlux.

Martijn said: “We were delighted to be a part of the show and present an award. It was a true inspiration to be amongst such rising talent in the industry, this year especially as we are expanding into retail and hospitality, working on restaurant design and bar projects – including our recent, exciting project with Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, established by acclaimed celebrity chef Raymond Blanc”
