Setcrete introduces Universal floor levelling compound

Setcrete Universal, a new general-purpose floor-levelling compound, is now available to the building trade, via merchant distributors nationwide. The smoothing product, for use in internal, light traffic areas, is part of the range of flooring products for the master tradesman, designed to offer a quick, and easy solution for preparing subfloors to provide a smooth and durable base ready for the installation of new floorcoverings.

Setcrete Universal can be used to create a smooth, high performance finish over both absorbent surfaces such as a sand/cement screed, and non-absorbent subfloors, including ceramic or terrazzo flooring. The water mix product can be applied at thicknesses of between 3 – 6mm over a subfloor and its self-levelling properties mean that minimal work is required to achieve the desired finish. In addition, with a working time of 20 minutes, and a walk on time of just three hours, it is ideal for installations with tight timescales.
