London-based Kee Systems is encouraging contractors to take advantage of the significant time and cost-saving benefits of using Kee Klamp® fittings in leisure and play structure construction.

“Kee Klamp® fittings are ideal for use in a variety of areas where sports and play structures are required,” explains John Jones General Manager of Kee Systems. “The versatility of these fittings makes them ideal for creating leisure structures, such as playground climbing frames, net enclosures for cricket, athletics and other sports as well as the safety guardrails commonly used in these areas. They also make for a quicker, easier and more cost-effective construction since there is no welding or fabrication required.”

Kee Systems supplies the leading Kee Klamp® fittings range to contractors, architects and specifiers working on leisure, recreational and playground projects. This comprehensive selection of simple to use, galvanised malleable cast iron fittings allow pre-cut lengths of standard tubing to be connected together to form virtually any tubular framework structure. The option of powder coated fittings in any RAL colour is also available to enhance the structure. This is a preference when the fittings are being used in children’s playgrounds as it provides a creative and attractive finish.

All fittings within the Kee Klamp® range incorporate an integral socket screw which locks the fitting securely onto its tube to give an excellent slip load performance. The extensive range ensures that they can also cope easily with any changes in direction or gradient, and easily accommodate requirements for adapting or extending an existing play or sports structure.

Kee Systems has supplied Kee Klamp® products for a number of leisure projects in London. Red powder-coated fittings have been installed at a sports arena in Hampstead Heath to provide a safety barrier between the spectators and athletes. The fittings have also been used at the Heathrow Gymnastics Club which now boasts a galvanised railing that blends well in the environment. Kee Klamp® fittings have commonly been used to create cricket nets since the early 1990s, and continue to be a popular application.
