SAS International announces new RIBA approved partitioning CPD

Share

SAS International, a manufacturer of interior fit-out solutions, is pleased to announce that it has produced a new architectural RIBA-accredited CPD for partitioning systems.

This adds to its existing portfolio of RIBA-accredited Core Curriculum CPDs. Designed to inform architects, the presentation provides an introduction and overview of what to consider when specifying these interior fit-out products.

The Partitioning CPD covers the benefits, specification writing and environmental compliance of fully glazed partitioning. Performance criteria is also detailed referencing tests for acoustics, fire, and strength and stability. In addition, the CPD details deflection; it is essential when designing and installing partitioning systems to allow for suitable building slab deflection as a live load will almost certainly cause some degree of movement which impacts on the space between the floor and ceiling slab.

The ease of integrating building solutions in the internal environment is a key consideration to allow for future change, yet one of the most common overlooked aspects is how partitioning integrates with its surrounding materials. With a range of head tracks available partitioning can blend seamlessly to allow integration with the ceiling or wall and floors. It is possible to provide a clean integration with drywall using trims to create a part glazed, part drywall configuration.

You can book a CPD by emailing cpd@sasintgroup.com or calling 0118 929 0900.
