Private School heat pumps supported by electric technology

Share

A new heat pump installation in a private school in Surrey has benefited from a stand-by boiler supplied by Atlantic Boilers of Oldham. Halliford School in Shepperton is a small independent day school for boys aged 11-18 and girls aged 16-18. Set on the river Thames a Georgian House is at the centre of the school. Behind the house are modern buildings and the newly built Music, Art and Sixth Form Centre.

The heating services of the new building were carried out by Omega Building Services of Caterham-on-the-Hill and they installed five heat pumps. The Atlantic Multi-Elec Compacte 60kW provides an excellent backup to the pumps as it is also powered by electricity, has no flue requirement and small footprint. The MEC60 easily fits alongside the heat pump assembly and was swiftly commissioned into operation. The new Multi-Elec range is available from 36kW to 72kW for closed heating systems. The boilers have a maximum working pressure of 4 BARS and maximum flow temperature of 95°C.
