New range of energy saving water heaters from Stiebel Eltron

Share

Stiebel Eltron has launched a new range of energy saving water heaters which allow users to take advantage of off-peak electricity tariffs.

The wall mounted SHZ range offers instantaneous hot water from 30 to 150-litre capacity and comes with three individual ECO settings.

Its innovative dual tariff flexibility means that the bulk of the recovery work can be done during the night on an off-peak tariff, helping consumers to reduce day to day energy costs.

The SHZ has the flexibility to top up in the day if needed and can still run off a single tariff.

Thanks to an enamel coated vessel – covered in a high density insulation – the standby energy losses are very low, further minimising the running costs.

Stuart Doggrell, Stiebel Eltron National Accounts Manager, said: “The SHZ has been developed specifically for the UK market to help consumers to save money.

“Our existing SH range has proved very popular across both domestic and commercial sectors, due its efficiency, minimal heat loss, simple installation and easy-to-use controls. The SHZ takes this quality engineering another step forward and makes it a perfect fit for bathrooms, washrooms or kitchens. It also comes in either 1kW and 3kW or 2kW and 4Kw settings depending on the recovery time required, with such low powering adding to the ‘green’ credentials of the unit.”

The SHZ utilises three individual ECO settings which can be adjusted to individual requirements, while an LCD display indicates the amount of hot water available, the energy consumption, and the temperature currently programmed.
It can be installed either as an open system for a single draw-off point or in a sealed system for multiple draw-off points, while a sacrificial anode has been fitted to preserve the life of the tank.
