M.R. Site Services wins big name contracts

Share

Melvyn Rowberry’s company M.R. Site Services, continues to go from strength to strength winning significant contracts with top name companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, Airbus, Tesco and Network Rail.

Having pioneered aluminium welding of standing seam aluminium roofs over thirty years ago, Melvyn and his team continue to refine the process with constant research and development.

His company’s latest innovations see his Quantum Roll-a-Flex system used more and more instead of welding as a cold applied process which can be used in more complicated situations. The flexible reinforced sealing system can be used on any roof and on almost any material providing a long lasting solution to the weathering of penetrations. Such is the quality of this system that it has now been included within M.R. Site Services’ work as an approved contractor on the Tata Platinum scheme.

Diversification in the roofing industry has also seen M.R. Site Services having a greater involvement in access hatches and walkways under its Quantum brand name. The company supplies and installs bespoke and standard access hatches including budget hatches and specialised smoke activated hatches as well as walkway and handrail systems, standing seam clips and snow guards. M.R. Site Services’ Quantum access hatches are designed and made to very high specification featuring high quality gas strut assisted hinged lids for one-man operation and are designed to fit most types of roofing including metal, felt, concrete or plastic. The lightweight aluminium Quantum walkway is also made to very high BS standards and is currently being specified on some high profile projects such as Airbus, BSKyB, Jaguar Land Rover, Network Rail, Tesco and Stoke-on-Trent football stadium.

M.R. Site Services’ shortlisting this year as a finalist in the roofing category of the Construction News Awards endorsed M.R. Site Services as a provider of quality roofing services.

Commenting on his company’s progress Melvyn Rowberry said, “Despite the market becoming more competitive in recent years, in 2012 we employed 10% more staff for office and site management and made sure that we focussed on important areas. We continue to invest heavily in training, marketing and IT yet at the same time we have managed to reduce our costs by 20%”. He added, “It seems to have been a successful strategy with many leading names inviting us to quote on roofing contracts from central London to the Outer Hebrides and Shetland Islands.”
