Jack Aluminium’s high usage entrance door achieves 1.7 U-value

Share

Jack Door TD68 thermally efficient aluminium door and framing system can now achieve a 1.7 U-value. “With more commercial doors, such as those in schools, needing lower U-values to ensure projects hit Building Regulations, this is good news for fabricators and installers,” says Jeff Pearson, sales director at Jack Aluminium.

Jack Door TD68 is designed to give excellent thermal performance and includes a thermally broken threshold to help achieve a U-value of 1.7. It can take electric strike opening as standard and there’s an optional automatic door header bar making it ideal for high throughput doors. And high security comes as standard with a heavy duty external bead and PAS023 & 024 accreditation.

The height of Jack Door TD68 door and framing system can go up to 2.8 metres with no need for additional reinforcement.

Jack Aluminium’s supply and cut service also makes the door very cost effective to manufacture. Fabricators can order minimum quantities to complete single doors with reduced wastage. The sections are colour coated to Qualicoat standard in a choice of matt, gloss and semi-gloss finishes.

“We are very excited about these results,” adds Jeff. “We have worked hard to get the U-values as low as possible for Jack Door TD68 without adding cost. We believe that we offer the most economical, thermally efficient aluminium door on the market for both new build and retrofit.”
