Ellis furniture has instant success with launch of one piece HI-MACS® worktop

Just launched by Ellis Furniture, is the curvy Reflections bathroom furniture range, which features a sweeping yet elegant single-piece HI-MACS® solid surface vanity.
This design has a sleek – almost minimalist look – whilst maintaining all the functionality and storage needed in a modern bathroom.
The centre-piece to the design is the striking 50mm curved worktop, hand crafted using a double layer of Alpine White HI-MACS® material, polished all round to create a beautiful smooth touch finish.
The cube cabinet with soft close drawer provides ample storage for towels and bathroom essentials, whilst the decorative wall panel and curved corner mirror provide additional storage as well as a decorative finish to the room.
Ellis Furniture’s Richard Fitzmaurice says they were looking for a visually arresting piece of furniture under which they could suspend their Reflections gloss white drawer and also to support a choice of two counter top basins.
“HI-MACS® was the natural choice and answered all our design criteria for shapes, curved lines and simple but nevertheless eye-catching look.”
HI-MACS® is a solid surface material made from natural stone set in an acrylic matrix. It is a perfect material for bathrooms being non-porous and impervious and can be thermo-formed to any three-dimensional shape while joins are visually seamless. Using HI-MACS®, fabricators Whitehall had absolutely no problems on fulfilling the Ellis design brief.
