Alitex conservatories; aluminium made beautiful

Share

An Alitex conservatory in aluminium offers the best of both worlds for architect and client; a low maintenance structure, adaptable to all seasons, with all the timeless aesthetic qualities of a wooden structure.

At Alitex greenhouses and conservatories, we know just how beautiful a wooden structure can look, but we also know how important durability is to our customers. That’s why all of our single and double glazed structures are manufactured in aluminium, offering an accessible, low maintenance conservatory that looks just like wood.

Aluminium can very quickly be dismissed by those who are unfamiliar with its qualities. Due to its high strength to weight ratio, aluminium can be engineered to produce slender components, even for larger structures, allowing for a lighter space, more open to the natural light; the essence of a conservatory.

Unlike timber, aluminium will not corrode or rot, nor will it need repainting. We paint above and beyond British Standard recommendations with our factory applied powder-coating which ensures each and every structure has a long lifetime; examples of our work from over the past 60 years substantiate this.

And when your client is making this lifetime investment, we think they should be able to enjoy it year round too. The individual considerations and design elements that go into producing each structure ensures our customers don’t walk into a sauna in summer and can enjoy a crisp winter’s day without the need to wear their coat indoors! We can advise the best window and roof hinge combinations to create natural ventilation, the right blinds, fans and heating options.

We pay attention to all the finer details to ensure the room not only looks the best but also offers the best possible living environment.

Clients often share concerns that an aluminium structure may not be complementary to their period or listed homes. At Alitex, we have extensive experience in working with planning officers who recognise the benefits of aluminium and can see the sympathetic aesthetic similarities of aluminium to wood. We have worked with English Heritage on a number of historically relevant sites, helping restore them to their hey-day.
