ACO Q-Brake Vortex and Q-Plate: High Performing Flow Control Solutions Designed to Lower Project Costs

Share

ACO can now regulate any surface water flow before discharge into water course or sewer networks with its extended range of easy to install Q-Brake Vortex Flow control and Q-Plate orifice plate systems. Both the vortex and orifice plate technology from this enhanced range are designed for efficient handling of flows with easy installation and simple maintenance.

The Q-Brake Vortex is a proven and established product ideal for flows from 1 to 100 l/s. It has the advantage of minimum maintenance with no moving parts and is designed with large, clear openings to reduce the risk of blockage. An enhanced, patented bypass door and emergency drain down facility with improved sealing, enables remote access from the surface to bypass the inlet and independently drain the upstream system. This simplified access removes the need for direct man access to sewer manholes.

Installation costs are further lowered as the units are manufactured to exact application requirements and provide more flow at lower heads, reducing water storage volumes on site. Easy installation of the ACO Q-Brake Vortex is assured with fixing options for either flat sided or round manhole chambers. In projects where the ACO Q-Brake Vortex is not suitable, the ACO Q-Plate offers an effective alternative. This product line is available with or without remote bypass and drain down and comes in flat and round manhole configurations to simplify installation.

ACO provide expert support to ensure the right product specification and both the ACO Q-Brake Vortex and Q-Plate are included in the WinDes software to simplify hydraulic modelling. Manufactured from stainless steel, both models offer high quality, yet economic solutions with rapid deliveries to exact site requirements and will provide robust, reliable, long-term operation. The range will reduce installation costs, minimise maintenance and is designed to ensure the final stages of a project can be concluded quickly and without hassle.
